Dr. Arnoldo André was born (1961) and raised in San José, Costa Rica.
He attended the school Alexander von Humboldt in San José, Costa Rica (1978), graduated in Law and as a Civil Law Public Notary at the University of Costa Rica in 1984 and obtained a Dr. iur. (Ph.D) Degree at the University of Hamburg, Germany in 1988, specializing in private and public international law.
In 1995 Dr. Arnoldo André established his own law firm Andre Tinoco & Asociados and became in May 2008 the Senior Partner of Lexincorp (Costa Rica) - a Central American Law Firm-, serves simultaneously as General Honorary Consul of Norway since 1997, accomplished the position as President of the Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce (2010-2013) and acted as a member of the Board of Directors of the Costa Rican-German Chamber of Commerce in San José.
He has lectured at the University of Costa Rica and has been appointed by the President of Costa Rica as International Arbitrator for the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Costa Rica and the Republic of Chile (2007).
Dr. André has served as arbitrator for Costa Rican commercial legal disputes. He is also the legal advisor for the Embassies of Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Norway in Costa Rica, and he is member of several Board of Directors of Companies in Costa Rica and abroad. His practice areas include international law, investment, commercial and contracts law, arbitration and ADR, tax and real estate.
